HISTORY
Westcoast Wools commenced business in 1996 with a staff of three plus four country agents.
Since this time Westcoast Wools Pty Ltd has grown quickly and now operates five wool stores in country towns and has 17 staff/agents buying direct from woolgrowers.
In December, 2001 Westcoast Wools Pty Ltd opened a new state of the art wool store in Barrington St, Bibra Lake.

Westcoast Wools has reinforced its commitment to the Western Australian wool industry with the acquisition of the Katanning Wool Centre.. The Katanning store offers full core testing facilities thus providing faster, more efficient service to the wool grower and also a saving on freight.

Westcoast Wools has also specialised away from the normal commercial types and specifically introduced blended wool types to meet customer needs for the knitting types and open top types, in particular Chinese buyers.
The wool is selected for micron, length and VM. The wool is then blended through machines and packed to obtain a full container of product which can be fed direct into the scour on arrival at the mill. Of course Westcoast Wools do trade traditional types, however if a customer/processor has business for "off measured" wool types we can supply.
We are represented in the eastern states markets and predominantly source and trade mostly crossbred types. Purchases and sales were in excess of 16,000 bales.
